Everyone will find entertainment to their liking. You need to go here for at least one week to get around all the beauties of the city. Singapore is undoubtedly the great metropolis of Southeast Asia. It merges tradition and modernity, creating a colorful mix, that leaves no one indifferent!
Walking along the streets of Little India is popular among tourists. Lassi, tea, samosa, pakora, dhal, roti, malai kofta, gulab jamun… here you can find everything you want, you just have to walk among the stalls and meet the hospitable smiles of the sellers.
Undoubtedly, it is considered one of the greatest attractions in Singapore. There are not only beaches and palm trees, but also many amusement parks, such as Universal Studio.
Singapore’s top attractions include:
– Mosque of Sultan Hussein;
– Singapore Ferris Wheel;
– Gardens by the bay;
– Museum of Art and Science.
The Sultan Hussain Mosque is the main Muslim holy site in Singapore. The building is considered to be a national heritage, as it was built several centuries ago. The dome of the mosque is made of gold and crowned with a crescent moon. The architectural style of the building is Saracen style.
This is practically the only attraction in Singapore that has been preserved in its original form. You can visit it for free during the stipulated hours.
The Singapore Ferris Wheel is considered the most modern attraction in Singapore. The height of the wheel can be compared with a 55-storey building, which is almost 170 meters. The peculiarity of this building is that you can see the whole city from it, and that it can accommodate almost 800 people.
The Ferris wheel consists of several capsules that can accommodate up to 28 people. The time to visit and operate the attraction is 28 minutes. A large amount of this number, according to local residents, brings great happiness and good luck.
Many people know the skyline of Singapore, but few people know that the city has many parks and gardens where you can relax and enjoy nature. For example, the Botanical Garden with many bright and rare flowers and Gardens by the Bay, where you can see rare trees that glow at nightfall, creating the most surreal atmosphere.
These gardens are considered to be the most unusual attraction in the world. There are structures in the form of trees, which are made in the form of tall metal pillars. They are entwined with ferns and vines. Next to these structures there are two huge domed greenhouses, which contain exotic plants from around the world. A special exhibit is the ancient olive tree, which is more than 1000 years old.
The Museum of Art and Science is a place for lovers of science and educational excursions. The museum building is made in the form of a lotus. The entire territory inside the Museum of Art and Science is divided into three halls, each of which represents a certain area of interest for tourists and local residents.
The museum houses not only permanent exhibitions, but also temporary presentations and thematic exhibitions.
Chinatown (Chinatown) is another must-visit area on your trip to Singapore. There are many temples, typical Perancan houses, charming lanes full of lamps and Chinese lanterns… Here you can buy inexpensive products: noodles, rice, fish, chickens, ducks…. It’s almost impossible to visit Chinatown and be left with an empty stomach.
Another symbol of the city is the Merlion, the protector of Singapore with the body of a fish and the head of a lion. You can’t leave here without a photo with him.
Downtown Singapore is one of the city’s greatest attractions, whether it’s viewed from the top of Marina Bay Sands or from the streets that line its skyscrapers. This part can be visited both during the day and at night.
Every night from 20.00 to 21.30, lights are projected from the Marina Bay Sands hotel, coloring the sky of Singapore with the sound of music. The show is free and beautiful!
The Arab quarter will come as a surprise. The Sultan’s Great Mosque flaunts its golden dome.
There are many more things to see and do in Singapore: Orchard Street and its incredible malls, explore the food courts and malls, try typical dishes like chili crab, have coffee on the waterfront.
